Monster Cookie Energy Bites

Time lapse of me making energy bites for before and/or after my long runs. Find the delicious and easy recipe below.

1¼ cups old fashioned oats

½ cup creamy peanut butter

¼ cup honey

⅓ cup mini m&ms

⅓ cup mini chocolate chips

Dump all your ingredients into a medium sized bowl.

Stir well for a few minutes until everything is combined and oats and chocolate pieces are coated with wet ingredients.

Roll mixture into small balls (about 1 – 1 and ½ inches in size) carefully. (Wash your hands occasionally to prevent mixture from sticking to them too much)

Place bites on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Allow to set in the fridge till solid.

Store in fridge in an airtight container or ziplock bag

      1. Love 70’s looks like winter is over/ Did you decide on any Ultra’s? We are running a Madras Gras 5K next Saturday in KC then to Oklahoma City for a cancer 5K March 12th.
Had a routine colonoscopy this morning was the talk of the operating room on how fit I am for being old. Did drop 7 lbs yesterday on liquid diet.
Have a sweet weekend and enjoy
        OH any family news yet??

      2. Have fun on the 5k! Sounds like a fun one! I am currently training for a 50K. It is the same race I did last May, except I am going to do the 50k instead of the 100K.
That’s awesome and probably a great feeling that everyone complimented on how fit you are! I’m trying to drop a bit of winter weight. With the help of the nice weather I’ve been getting out more to run so that helps. No new news on family yet. 😕

      3. Well let me break you the bad news, the older you get the harder to take the winter weight off. I have been trying to limit my daily sugar intake to 25 grams a day. So writing down every gram I take in.
50K is good keep me posted on the training
